Two smaller apartments in this classic pre-war building were gutted and reconfigured to create an open sunny “loft style” family home.  This combination of a 1400 square foot six room  and 1250 square foot 2 bedroom apartment required careful consideration of wet over wet co-op rules that influenced the design.  Dana worked within the context of the board and building to create a wonderful rambling family home with four bedrooms, an office, a den, and separate kid’s wing and play area.  The galley kitchen was replaced with an open island, bar and pantry.  A new bathroom was created in a former kitchen.  And a wonderful master bathroom was extended and waterproofed to complete the master wing and office areas with no disturbance or intrusion for other co-op residents.
